Skogan Pass was groomed yesterday. The remarks on the trail report indicate that access on Lower Skogan is cut off by the ice flow, but Troll Falls and Ruthies’s were groomed so you could access it that way, or via Nakiska.
The south trails in PLPP were groomed last night including Elk Pass, Blueberry, Tyrwhitt, Lookout, Hydroline and Patterson. This area received significant snow, so it should help cover most of the tree debris which we’ve been hearing about.
The Mud Lake weather station indicates 8 cm of new snow in the past 24 hours. Mud Lake is near the Chester Lake/Burstall Pass trailheads. Tuesday night’s grooming at Mt Shark will likely have fresh snow on top.
It also appeared from yesterday’s webcams that it was snowing at Lake Louise.
The weather forecasts are predicting a significant snowfall on Monday/Tuesday.
At least 5 cm of new snow overnight at Lake Louise. Currently pouring down with snow- a snow monsoon!
