Mt Shark and beyond

Mt Shark this morning(Thursday). Photo by Chuck

You can see all 18 of Chuck’s photos from his trip to Mt Shark and then into backcountry conditions on the Upper Spray.

My sources tell me that tracksetting will continue in PLPP until April 15. I’m not sure if that includes Mt Shark or not.

Update Mar 30 from Groomer Bill:

“It has started to snow here this morning in West Bragg, I am looking forward to 5-10cm. and cooler temps this week. We should be grooming this snowfall sometime today and tomorrow. I plan to keep grooming as long as the snow is viable. Get out there and enjoy!!”

Tomorrow’s last blast of winter will probably cover those amazing tracks at Mt Shark with lots of new snow. There’s a snowfall warning out for Kananaskis, Banff and Lake Louise with 10-20 cm expected. It’s supposed to clear up by Saturday morning so we should have some new tracksetting on Saturday in PLPP without too much fresh snow on top. MaSid and I hope to see you at the Season End Meet and Greet at Pocaterra.

One Comment:

  1. Might that include the Ribbon Creek trails? SkiTrails live grooming says they’re done for the season despite the fresh snowfall.
