Mount Shark – excellent!

Mount Shark Feb 12, 2009

We had a great ski at Mount Shark today. All the trails had been groomed and trackset two days ago and were in the best condition I’ve ever seen them. Snow temp was -7 which made for easy waxing and the air temp was -6 which made for perfect skiing conditions. I skied my 900th kilometre today! (yes, that’s just this winter). See more photos here

If anyone who reads here is going to the Birkie this weekend, I’d sure appreciate a report of your impressions of the race.

  1. Bragg Creek update- February 13.
Recent dustings of new snow adding up to 2-3 cm made for a fine Friday afterwork ski.
I skied Sundog combined with East and West Crystal Line, and would rate conditions as mainly very good, with some short icier bits in sun-exposed areas. The set tracks are still in great shape, and quick, making for fast exhilarating skiing.

  2. We skied in PLPP today. Whiskey Jack, Tyrwhitt, Elk Pass, Boulton Creek. Everything in great shape. Some fresh snow has accumulated on Tyrwhitt but is skied in quite well.
