Our group had a wonderful ski on Moraine Lake road at Lake Louise today. They had some fresh snow which had been groomed and trackset. Saw lots of people with smiles on their faces. It’s hard to believe we have conditions like this on Nov 7.
When you look at the photo album, you’ll see how many cars there were in the parking lot and up and down the road. The upper tramline has been double trackset, so tomorrow you could park at the Chateau parking lot. It will only add about 1.5K to your ski.
A terrific beginning to the new XC ski season. Thanks to Bob, Abraham & the whole group for their company in the experience. Although there were plenty of vehicles parked on the approach to trailhead parking, the trail itself wasn’t crowded. Apres ski: I think I prefer Laggan’s Health Cookies to their cinnamon buns.
