Great conditions at Lake Louise

Faaaabuuulous!!!

MLR

How do we appear after skiing 18K? Thanks to Joad for taking the picture. Missing in action is Abraham.

Our group had a wonderful ski on Moraine Lake road at Lake Louise today. They had some fresh snow which had been groomed and trackset. Saw lots of people with smiles on their faces. It’s hard to believe we have conditions like this on Nov 7.

When you look at the photo album, you’ll see how many cars there were in the parking lot and up and down the road. The upper tramline has been double trackset, so tomorrow you could park at the Chateau parking lot. It will only add about 1.5K to your ski.

Update: Photos from Nov 8

Update: Abraham and I are co-ordinating another ski trip next week, Sunday Nov 15. 1. A terrific beginning to the new XC ski season. Thanks to Bob, Abraham & the whole group for their company in the experience. Although there were plenty of vehicles parked on the approach to trailhead parking, the trail itself wasn’t crowded. Apres ski: I think I prefer Laggan’s Health Cookies to their cinnamon buns.

  2. Fantastic early season conditions at Moraine Lake today. It was great to meet lots of fun people on the trail. Keep the updates going! Thanks!
