What trail is this?
Could that be a lake in the background?

Back Basin area at Emerald Lake?
Officially known as the “Emerald Lake Horse trail” on the winter ski trail report. I like to refer to it as the “alluvial fan” because it sounds so neat. It’s one of the most scenic cross-country ski trails on the face of the earth.
If you’ve ever hiked the Emerald Triangle, you can look down and see all the “veins” in the fan. Congratulations, Neil, that was a difficult one.
Jade; I don’t think they do any grooming up that high at Chester Lake. Try again. This is a tough one – I’m expecting it to stay a mystery for a few days at least.
I see there’s some flurries in the forecast for Lake Louise. I sure hope it comes soon so I can stop working and start skiing!
? Maybe the meadow area near Chester Lake?
When is it going to SNOW!!!!!
