I’ve been skiing Redearth Creek for a dozen years, and this is the most snow I’ve seen. We had excellent tracks, and waxing was easy with the cold snow. Mar 7, 2011

Don’t come here if you’re expecting to lose weight. The food is delicious and plentiful. Mar 6, 2011

After turning off Redearth Creek, the final 2.8K to the lodge is on a snowmobile-packed trail. A few hundred metres before you reach the lodge, the trees thin out and you find yourself skiing in a beautiful meadow, with panoramic views of spectacular scenery. Mar 6, 2011

  1. If you can handle a long day of sking, the Lodge is open for lunch on certain days. Phone ahead to let them know you’re coming. They’re open ’til March 26 Thurs – Sundays. It’s a beautiful ski trip, but be prepared for some fairly vigorous climbing and fast downhills. There’s a net elevation gain of 425 metres on the trip in.

  2. wow..amazing pictures! The landscape is breathtaking! I know where I will ski next;) Thank you for this blog!

  3. Do they allow one night stays or do you have to stay for 2?

Check this page on their website, it will give dates when they accept one-night stays: http://www.shadowlakelodge.com/u/whatsnew.phtml
