The weekend’s almost here

The Canmore Nordic Centre now reports the Banff trail loop is fully open, and the night loop will be lit as of tonight.

A lot of new grooming in PLPP this week; I’ll be checking it out later today and will have a report late tonight.

Mount Shark was groomed and 90% trackset on Tuesday. I don’t think there’s been any appreciable new snow over that grooming. It sounds like the Watridge Lake road is trackset all the way to the bridge. If anyone knows otherwise, leave a comment.

Ribbon Creek, Kananaskis Village, Skogan Pass, and the Wedge Connector should offer some good skiing if tomorrow’s warm weather doesn’t play havoc with the snow there. Likewise, West Bragg Creek, which was mostly trackset this week.

With it being cold all week, Cascade Valley should still be pretty good. It was excellent on Tuesday when I skied there.

As always, Lake Louise trails should be in fantastic shape.

As for skiing in the city, it would be appreciated if someone could give us a report on Shaganappi and/or Confed.

Saturday is the deadline to enter the contest for the $450 Ski package from Lifesport

One Comment:

  1. Confederation has been trackset…good condition.
