Skiing starts in 30 days

Guaranteed to have snow on Oct 18!

Skiers from all over North America are booking hotel rooms in Canmore in preparation
for the annual migration to Frozen Thunder at the Canmore Nordic Centre. On Saturday Oct 18, we’ll have 2K of snow to kick off this year’s prologue to the ski season.

Season pass2Does anyone remember the very first Frozen Thunder in 2009? It hadn’t been officially named yet, and there was only 400 metres of snow in the stadium area. I remember that year well because it snowed on Thanksgiving and we were skiing on Ribbon creek on Oct 10. Skiing at Canmore Oct 2009

This would be a good time to remind everyone that you can get Canmore Nordic Centre updates throughout the winter by clicking the CNC icon on the sidebar. It will take you to the Canmore Nordic Centre page.

You can save 10% on a CNC season pass by purchasing it by Oct 31. Frozen Thunder passes are separate from the season pass and need to be purchased separately.
