Thursday morning update

Jake and I out for a morning ski on the Bill Milne trail, Ribbon Creek November 30, 2015. We were grinning ear to ear.

The PLPP Pisten-Bully groomed and trackset the Mt Shark trails yesterday. You may have never noticed the Helipad trail at Mt Shark because it starts from an obscure location at the parking lot. Make a point of skiing it this year as it’s a lot of fun.

“The best skate ski of my life under the stars THANK YOU track setter Jeff!!!” TSJ(Tracksetter Jeff) was out late last night tracksetting the Bill Milne and Wedge connector trails. I’m appreciative of Jeff taking the time to leave a Groomer’s Report at 12:37 a.m. and I enjoyed reading John M’s trip report as he encountered Jeff and a deer on the trail.

There is no indication on the Banff/Lake Louise Trail report, but Shawna’s Trip Report confirms the Pipestone trails have been trackset and they are free of hazards and debris. The planned grooming on Great Divide for today(Dec 3) obviously occurred yesterday(see Aaron’s Trip Report).

I’m sad to see that Norm is retiring from his Lifesport ski shop at the end of ski season this year, but I guess it means good deals on skis and ski gear for you this winter.

  1. So….Lifesport is closing?

    • The property is sold and the building will either be torn down or moved at the end of the season. However, the business is for sale. Please find an investor! P.S.: I work there for fun and wax money.
