Winter Wonderland returns!
As you’ve already heard, it was snowing this morning at Lake Louise. I was out early enough to be able to use wax without any sticking. VR45(-2/-8) performed well in the fresh snow. The Great Divide, Telemark, Moraine Lake road, and all the trails at Lake Louise should be in great shape for the weekend.
Would this trail be okay for beginners?
Great Divide = yes up to 7 km
Lower Telemark = easy but not for beginners (Upper Telemark is harder)
Moraine Lake Rd = sort of, 3 km to the big hill

We were on Moraine today and it was excellent. About 10cm of fresh snow and the groomed was almost done by 10:15. Snow temp was -3; air was -2 at the start. Fairview was in ok shape. Trailside talk indicated the Chateau’s machine had broken down. All in all, superb conditions in Lake Louise.
