Skogan Pass

Skogan loop. Photo by Tracksetter Jeff

I didn’t ski Skogan Pass today, but Tracksetter Jeff sent the above photo and the following report:

“Great snow on upper Skogan Pass and Skogan Loop 25-30cm, so good I was able to trackset all the trails above High Level right to the top of the Pass.

Lower Skogan is thin but skiable if you are careful. Sunburst and High Level are groomed only but have good coverage.”

You can see exactly which trails were groomed on the Live Grooming Report.

I have a “Friday Night Update” coming in a while, so check back later. Lots of photos to download and go through.

  1. FWIW I skied in Canmore Park & Confederations golf course this afternoon. There were only skier set tracks. The amount of snow was adequate, though in some place the grass was visible at the bottom of the ski tracks.

Where should I make such a report? A comment on a post about another area doesn’t seem to be the best place for others to find it.
