Three of us (Tom Maier, Mike Brewster and me) went out to ski every maintained ski track at WBC yesterday.
The trick is to minimize backtracking and overlap. Tricky getting in all the links near the WBC parking area! It all came in just under 70km. Being Strava junkies we had to add in a little extra out and back on Mountain Road to make it over 70. Overall it was a great day. We skied Telephone first and we’re glad we did because it was tricky getting the wax right on the relatively “weathered” conditions on the numerous steep climbs up there. The big surprise was the freshly groomed track on Elbow South that actually went all the way to the parking lot at the rangers station on highway 66. It was so nice to have this towards the end of a big day. I’ll attach a screen shot of the Strava activity.
Well done! “Every maintained track”, i.e. two passes on every double-trackset trail? 😉
