Mountain road at West Bragg Creek

West Bragg Creek: “Beauty days and beauty skiing this weekend in WBC. Recent warm weather will make for crusty early morning conditions that should soften up late morning. Watch for some icy downhills on south facing slopes. Have fun!!” Check the Live Grooming Report for tracksetting details.

Last night’s tracksetting in PLPP included Pocaterra, Lynx, Rolly Road and Come-Along.

Ribbon Creek, Kananaskis Village, and Skogan Pass were all trackset yesterday. Bill Milne, Wedge, and Evan-Thomas were trackset on Wednesday but will have some drifted snow from the strong winds on Thursday.

Healy Creek in Banff was trackset on Thursday.

Pipestone

Lake Louise recent tracksetting: Feb 14 Peyto; Upper Telemark; Lake Louise Loop; Pipestone; Hector; Drummond; Merlin. FEB 13: Campground; Bow River Loop; Townsite; Great Divide; Lower Telemark. 

Lake O’Hara fire road was trackset on Thursday. 

Mt Shark was trackset on Thursday night. 

Canmore Nordic Centre Event Advisory:

2020 Alberta Winter Games will be taking place at the CNCPP this weekend, February 14 – 19. Official training will start on Friday and the Cross Country and Biathlon races will take place Saturday – Monday. Recreation ski trails (Banff, Meadowview, Bow etc.) will remain OPEN to the public. Please expect all CNCPP facilities to be busy due to the Family Day weekend. (Reminder: Monday Feb 17 Junior & Children’s day passes 50% off!)

  1. Mount Shark conditions are spectacular! Fresh snow was falling all Saturday afternoon making the downhills an absolute delight!!!
