I’ve added all the photos in the Emerald Lake Lodge contest. Hopefully I didn’t miss any, but if you don’t see yours, send me an email and I’ll backtrack and find it. For those who sent two or more photos, I enjoyed seeing them, but I had to pick only one for the contest. If you want to do some skiing close to home in Calgary, Shaganappi is now groomed and trackset as are many other locales in the city which we’ve been getting reports on.
For those in the south end of town, Sandy McNabb would be a nearby place to explore. As the trip reports have indicated, West Bragg Creek sounds marvelous.
One of the groomers in PLPP gave up their Christmas eve to complete tracksetting in the south end of the park including Elk Pass, Blueberry Hill, Hydroline and Patterson. You can now ski the entire “SkierBob Special” loop on recently trackset trails.
Redearth Creek in Banff National Park has been trackset for the first time this season.
Skiing is free at the Canmore Nordic Centre today.

Does anybody know where I can find a good deal on XC skis on boxing day in Calgary? I want to buy 2 packages of adult XC ski/boots tomorrow. Do you know a store that offers a good deal?
