When will we see the first tracksetting on Elk Pass in Kananaskis Country? Go to the contest page and leave your guess. Two winners will each receive a free night’s accommodation and a buffet dinner for 2 at Stoney-Nakoda Resort .
If someone selects the date before you do, don’t despair. There’s a second chance for everyone who selects the correct date.
Stoney-Nakoda Resort is located near the entrance to K-Country. Their restaurant and lounge is a great place to re-live the day’s events after a fun day on the ski trails.
Elk pass in K-Country is usually one of the first places with skiable snow each winter. Going back in my records, the first tracksetting has been as early as Nov 12 and as late as Dec 13, so chances are it will fall somewhere within that 32-day range.
It’s always possible that tracksetting will occur before the contest ends on Nov 17(wouldn’t that be great!), so if that happens, the contest will end on the day tracksetting started.
