West Bragg Creek: “65 km of trail was roller packed on Friday after 15-20 cm of snow had fallen. Snow continues to fall, as do are attempts to keep up with it. Roller packing and track setting will continue through the weekend.”
The WBC weather station indicates a temperature at the trailhead of -23°C.
Bill Milne, Evan-Thomas and Wedge Connector are being groomed this morning.

Confederation golf course Mar 13 update: “Snow!!! Plan is to roll trails tonight with all the new snow. We will groom and track set tomorrow night once the snow stops.”
PLPP: Pocaterra. Lynx, Rolly Road, and Come-Along were trackset last night. PLPP is receiving lesser amounts of snow. “The snowcat encountered mechanical difficulties just as Friday’s grooming was finishing up- there is a high probability that there will be no new grooming for at least a few days.”
Skogan Pass was trackset yesterday.
Pipestone trails at Lake Louise were trackset yesterday.
I see the Cypress Hills trails were groomed yesterday. I believe this has been the best ever winter for ski conditions there. The forecast is calling for an additional 10-15 cm of snow in Cypress Hills today, along with sub-zero temperatures for the coming week.
Canmore Nordic Centre – Corona Virus update
The Canmore Nordic Centre is still open for Nordic skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing and public use however the daylodge facility will be restricted to ticket purchasing, information provision, washrooms and locker use. The Cafe will only provide take out options and food consumption is not allowed inside the daylodge. Read more on the CNC website. The World Cup races have been cancelled, so parking is back to normal.
