We took advantage of yesterday’s tracksetting on Wedge and Evan Thomas and had a great day of skiing. You may have read on the Ribbon Creek trail report that grooming has finished for the season on the Kananaskis Village, Ribbon Creek, Bill Milne, Wedge, Skogan Pass trails.
It’s the first day of spring tomorrow. The last time spring arrived this early was in 1896 — 124 years ago! It’s usually on March 20 and occasionally March 21. I was heading to PLPP to ski on yesterday’s new tracksetting, but stopped at Evan-Thomas to check the snow conditions.

What an incredibly enjoyable afternoon of skiing in Kananaskis today. The “circle is complete” and you can ski the 7K loop consisting of Evan-Thomas, Wedge Connector, and Bill Milne trails.
