Thanks to Steve Riggs for this photo and report:
Hi Bob,
I enjoyed a fine evening ski, in spring-like weather on the West Bragg trails on March 26. Variable conditions, mostly soft, with occasional glazed sections in sun-exposed areas.
Trails were packed only, on Monday after the weekend snowfall, as conditions were not suitable for tracksetting. Since then, 5 cm of new fell on Wednesday, which has been tracked up by skiers, snowshoers, etc.
I would rate conditions as very good, taking into account that late March in Bragg Creek often doesn’t offer up any skiing at all.
A more objective rating for most skiers might be “fair to good”.
Get it while you can!
