At the risk of finding more people on one of our favourite trails near Banff, we highly recommend the Redearth Creek trail.

The 11 km along Redearth Creek is single track set, and was in beautiful condition today.
For those with more energy to burn, climb the 100 vertical meters at the Shadow Lake turnoff, and then ski the last 2 km on a packed trail in open meadows with spectacular views to Shadow Lake Lodge. Another 15 minutes along Shadow Creek will take you to Shadow Lake itself, surrounded by several magnificent peaks. Stop in for afternoon tea or stay the night! They are currently only open from Thursday through Sunday.
