Gord Newel has an update…

Skied Pipestone yesterday, there was fast & icy trails near the parking lot in the morning, a fair amount of debris as well, but after getting up and around/past the pond it was just awesome, sunshine and blue ski with silky smooth snow.

The grooming was a little confusing in parts, don’t know if the new machine was through or not. Sometimes there were four tracks in a row but not spaced as two lanes, minor.

I’ve attached a picture of some very fresh tracks, I’m thinking Lynx? Maybe someone can comment. It was ahead of us for quite a while and since there was fresh snow overnight so I suspect he/she was not far ahead of us that morning.

Love your site, makes want to ski! Thank You for the work you do on it.

Gord

West Bragg update from Friday afternoon- the skiing was very good in soft winter-like snow conditions. No new grooming now for several weeks, but the base and old tracksetting have held up very well, and a few more cm’s of snow since I was last there on Wednesday have only made things better.
