Skiers are in a tight pack during semi-final action.
It's down to the final six. This is the race for the men's classic sprint championship.
- Len Valjas was the first to cross the finish line with Brent McMurtry second and Stefan Kuhn third. The other finalists were Jesse Cockney, George Grey, and Matt Wylie.
George Grey won the 15K classic race yesterday, while Valjas was 12th.
Gold medalist and National Sprint Champion Len Valjas being interviewed after his victory.
In the women’s category, no surprise as Dasha Gaiazova edged out Chandra Crawford. They both qualified well ahead of the rest of the field. Saturday will see the men skiing a 50K skate race while the women do 30K.
An important man behind the scene, Canadian ski team wax technician Joel Jaques. Today's wax was VR65 with a bit of VR70 under the toe.
I’ll have an update on Pocaterra tomorrow with photos. Pretty nice conditions there today.
