Welcome to the new ski season!

Hello to all our regulars from last year, and a warm welcome to all new readers

Nov 10 will be the sixth anniversary of the day I started this blog. Wow, time goes by fast when you’re having fun. My first ever blog post

If you’re new to this blog, the page which always gets the most readers is the Trip Reports which you can find on the Main Menu. The reports are now coming in with regularity. I didn’t ski today, but others did, and Peter has left a very detailed description of Elk Pass and Fox creek.

I’d like to thank everyone who has left a trip report, and if you have been out skiing, please do your fellow skiers a favour and let us know how the conditions were.

Speaking of trip reports, Moraine Lake road was single trackset today. Justin sent in the photo and reports tracks were still soft but should be firmer tomorrow after setting-up overnight.

I should also point out the Archives and other helpful features on the sidebar such as Categories and Places to Ski. You can read about any trail that I’ve skied on in the past five years.

There’s a new item on the menu, too. If you have a concern that can’t be covered anywhere else, you can go to the special page I’ve set up entitled, what else,  Ask a Question.

Don’t forget about the big Sample Sale this weekend.

Just for fun, it’s interesting to look at the blog statistics and see what search terms people are using, and being directed to this blog. Here are some from yesterday…

  1. Welcome to the new season everyone! Stay safe out there when you go and may this winter bring you joy and the opportunity to explore trails and areas you haven’t been on in a while. That being said- Bob, as I am a snowshoer and not a skier, I am glad the snowshoe icon under trip reports is still there. You will hopefully see a lot of comments from me of my trip reports . Thank you for still having a place to do so.
