From Hugh’s trip report it sounds like Lake Louise was the recipient of a lot of snow from this system which moved through today. It’s also encouraging to see Elk Pass got 10 cm, at the trailhead no less.

A Snowfall Warning continues to be in effect for Lake Louise and to a lesser extent towards Banff:

“On Saturday another push of moisture is expected to bring 10-15 cm of snow to areas northwest of Banff, including Lake Louise and the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93).

Once again, snowfall accumulations of only 2-5 cm are expected in and around the townsite of Banff.”

We are all eager to hear about new snow at other ski trails/areas if you have anything to report. Although the sky looked threatening for most of the day, Canmore received nothing more than a thin dusting which is all gone by now.

If you are considering skiing at the Canmore Nordic Centre this weekend, be sure to read this CNC update.
