Friday 10:00 a.m. from Nipika Mountain Resort
Light snow is falling here in Nipika as I write this. Temperature is -6°C.
I don’t think I’ll have a chance to cover all 50K of the trails here before we have to head back to Canmore. It looks like we’ll be driving through some snow.
A much-needed snowfall is in the works for Calgary and hopefully West Bragg Creek. Environment Canada is predicting 10-15 cm. It appears to be an upslope system which means lesser amounts of snow as you move deeper into the mountains, but significant amounts should still reach Canmore and Ribbon Creek.
The Snow Forecast is optimistically predicting 12 cm for the Ribbon Creek area.
Env Canada predicts 4 cm for Banff.
