Sunday morning update

Confederation golf course.

Update 11 a.m: Confederation golf course: “All trails were groomed last night at Confederation Park and conditions are the best they have been all season!”

Update 11 a.m: West Bragg Creek: “Despite some major equipment breakdowns over the last 24 hrs GBCTA groomers have groomed and track set the majority of the trails system. Conditions are total awesomeness!! Come and enjoy…. the groomers will be in the shop fixing stuff….”

Shaganappi golf course was groomed and trackset last night. Check the Groomer’s Reports for all the details.

Pocaterra – Lynx junction

Last night’s tracksetting in PLPP included Pocaterra to the Packers junction, Lynx, Come-Along and Rolly Road. The thermometer at the PLPP maintenance compound indicates -15°C at 7 a.m, but the Weather Network reports -8. Mud Lake is -9.

Bow and Meadowview were trackset this morning along with many other trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Still no tracksetting on Banff trail beyond the meadow.

There hasn’t been any recent tracksetting on the Ribbon Creek/Kananaskis Village/Bill Milne trails but I imagine the new snow has improved conditions considerably. GH mentioned 10 cm of fresh snow on Skogan pass. The snowcat and crew have been working this week at the Birkie.

Helen enjoyed excellent conditions on Lake O’Hara fire road yesterday: “Many of us remarked how it was the easiest ski up there that we had ever experienced; basically walked straight up even the toughest hills using VR 40 or 45 : both worked great. It was also one of the easiest descents skiing back down that most of us have ever experienced.”

  1. Hi Bob – We skied Banff trail beyond the meadow Thursday night and it was trackset then.

Good to know, thanks. I guess they haven’t updated the Live Grooming Report to reflect that. -Bob
