Update Wed Dec 9 @ 1:20 pm: It snowed for a couple hours in Canmore this morning but has stopped for now. I have about 3 cm of high-density snow on my deck. I expect higher elevations received more. With cooler temperatures on the way, this snow will hopefully mitigate any damage to the trails that was caused by the rain.
Nothing positive to report from Canmore…yet. The snow which Mary mentioned in her trip report was predominantly rain which fell most of the afternoon. There seems to be a lull in the precipitation activity for now.
The web cam showed lots of snow at Lake Louise, so I’m hoping the higher elevations such as PLPP received this as snow. There is a further 19 cm in the Snow Forecast for PLPP, and 13 cm for Ribbon creek, to arrive in the morning.
With colder temperatures coming later tonight, I expect the roads around here to be treacherous.
I didn’t ski today, but I see that Mary, Chuck and Steve were out on the snow. Thanks for the Trip Reports!

Skied from 4:00 to 6:00 on well groomed classic tracks. Tracks were squishy at first then firmed up as it cooled somewhat. Great grip and reasonable glide with my Atomic Redster Skintecs. It was raining before arriving at the CNC from YYC, then turned to snow, then stopped and only a bit of spitting.
