Dec 8 @ 2:30 pm: Update from Groomer Jeff at West Bragg Creek:
“Remarkably we got more snow in West Bragg Saturday night! 5-7 cm has been groomed and track set on a number of trails. Heavy skier volume has interrupted grooming which will commence again tonight. Expect soft, slow conditions as the snow has not had a chance to consolidate. That being said it is a gorgeous weekend for a ski with dozens of kilometres of trail groomed.”

I woke up to 6 cm of powder in Calgary.
Ray Perrott has 8 cm in Canmore.
The Banff/Lake Louise trail report indicates 10 cm in Lake Louise.
It’s getting deeper….
Nakiska reports 12 cm.
Mud Lake weather station has 14 cm.
The web cams in the town of Banff show all the streets covered in snow.
An update on Emerald Lake and Yoho from the Kicking Horse Ski Club:
Dec 7, 2019: “Today–Joe packed a few times around the loop of the Fan and the Horse Trail too–after cutting a whole bunch of trees. The ice to the Horse Trail is packed also. NO TRACK SET TRAIL YET–till we get more snow but it is somewhat skiable….use caution! Tomorrow –he is hoping to work the same on the Kicking Horse Trail.
The Yoho Valley Road is still good for a nice ski. Enjoy the new snow.”
At Lake Louise, today’s tracksetting includes Moraine Lake road, Great Divide, and Tramline.
