  1. Glad you enjoyed the Moraine Lake Road so much… and the good news is that user fees are only being considered for Kananaskis Provincial Park, not Banff National Park (yet)!
As Moraine Lake is in Banff National Park, this is one of those benefits of a federal park pass.

With all this talk of user fees at the moment, I would gladly have handed over fifty bucks for the pleasure of skiing this trail yesterday (on top of my annual Parks Pass). Went all the way to Moraine Lake and it was one of the best trips ever – and still only mid-November. Started early and had the place to myself until part way back from the Lake.

  3. With a forecast low of -13 tonight, and a high of -6 tomorrow, it looks like we can start using blue wax. I just finished glide waxing with CH6(-6/-12), and VR40 should be working well in the grip zone. I hope we can still see the tracks with all the new snow that’s falling.

Since 5 pm, we’ve had about 5 cm of powdery snow in Canmore.
