I was fascinated with the alternative route which Chuck discovered to Shadow Lake today. Rather than going up the steep hill, it follows the Redearth Creek canyon. Click over to see all 15 of Chuck’s photos

Redearth Creek was trackset today(Thursday). Photo by Chuck.

On the trip reports, you’ll have noticed that in reply to Erin, Ribbon Creek Tracksetter Jeff indicated they would be out tracksetting at 6 a.m. tomorrow(Friday). I double-checked to see if he meant a.m. or p.m! Jeff replied  yes, a.m, but if it is snowing all day, they will probably wait until Saturday morning to get started.

Check the Ribbon Creek Live Grooming report in the morning because the Ribbon Creek grooming is in real time. We don’t see the PLPP grooming report until they are finished and get connected to the internet.

The Weather Network is calling for scattered flurries and light snow starting tonight and continuing through tomorrow for Kananaskis.

The Snow Forecast has upped the prediction for PLPP to 36 cm by Sunday night. Let’s see what happens.

I see Sandy McNabb was groomed Mar 1st, we missed it by a day! And it was needed.
