Twenty-two trip reports – thanks!

We received no fewer than 22 trip reports yesterday which must be a record. I’m not even counting Steve’s bike report but he still had info for skiers in there.

A snowfall warning has been issued for Banff – Lake Louise, but most of it is for the Icefields Parkway. An unwelcome wind warning has been issued for K-country.

I wasn’t the only one working yesterday. 🙂 The Banff tracksetter was hard at it, tracksetting Redearth Creek. I can’t decipher from Barb’s report if the grooming included the final K to the Shadow Lake junction. In Lake Louise, Moraine Lake road and Tramline were trackset.

Stoney-Nakoda Resort is offering 15% off menu items in the Ridge Restaurant or Sidelines lounge to followers of SkierBob.ca – just mention the site and/or show your phone with SkierBob.ca on it.

Windy.com is predicting 12 cm of snow for Kananaskis Village over the next 5 days. Other forecasts aren’t being as generous. The Snow-Forecast.com predicts 11 cm; Ventusky 9 cm; Weather Network 2 cm. Let’s see how that turns out.

  1. To clarify, Redearth Creek was only groomed to the campground where the snowmobile tracks clearly turned around. Nothing was groomed past the campground – no final km to the lodge turnoff, and nothing between the lodge turnoff and campground. Only the first 6km were groomed. If anything beyond the campground was previously groomed, there was no sign of that. The snow got considerably deeper beyond the campground.
