Goat Creek bridge

I get a lot of emails from readers in other parts of the world who are coming to the SkierBob empire to ski.

They usually ask for recommendations or request specific information about a certain trail which they have their heart set on doing.

Goat Creek

If I can readily answer, I email the information back. Sometimes, I post the question on the blog to get feedback from readers.

The most requested trail? By a long shot it’s Goat Creek. For example, this one came in today:

“Your blog is great!!!

I live in St Paul MN and have loved the two times I have skied in your area. Many more great trails to explore.

Goat Creek is one of my favorites too. When you ski it (Canmore to Banff), how do you do the logistics of getting back to Canmore? Have you ever done it both ways at a time (some of my friends have)?”

  1. Hey Bob,

I have also wondered about this. Can you please post the answer on your website? Thanks!

    • This is what I emailed to John:

You can take a “Roam” bus from the Banff Springs Hotel to Canmore. You’d still have to take a taxi up to the Goat Creek trailhead to get your
      vehicle.

Yes, I have done it both ways and I prefer to start in Banff when doing
      that.

As for myself, my wife drops me off at the Goat Creek trailhead and picks me up at the Banff Springs trailhead.
