More snow; more tracksetting

The Sandy McNabb Live Grooming Report shows most of the trails have been groomed. No indication whether they are trackset.

I had an appointment in Canmore today, and planned to check out the conditions at the nordic centre. I changed my mind when I arrived at CNC and found myself in the middle of a raging blizzard. That was around 2 pm.

Heather D saw the Heritage Guides working on Fairview at Lake Louise today. They are planning to trackset Fairview tomorrow(Dec 5).

They are also hoping to trackset the Shoreline trail.

All the weather forecasts are predicting significant snow today along the continental divide, and more on Saturday…

Lake Louise: Today 5+ cm, Saturday 8 cm

PLPP: Today 5+ cm, Saturday 9 cm

Yoho: Today 9 cm,  Saturday 7 cm

Lesser amounts will fall in places like Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis Village, and West Bragg Creek.

The Mud Lake weather station indicates 5 cm so far today. 

Mallory reported snow flurries at the PLPP Discovery Centre this morning at 10 a.m.
