Report from WBC Groomer Jeff:

“After a manic 2 days of fixing equipment, we are grooming again at about 80% capacity. 8cm of new snow was deposited from the storm last night and is being groomed as I type by our intrepid crew.

Expect soft conditions for today and snow will not have a chance to set up very well before skiers arrive this morning. Note that Mountain View has some icy sections at the summit of the big hill and there is a reroute around the wind scoured hill on Mountain View West that lies about 100 meters to the West. It will take a minimum of 2 days to get the whole system groomed. Core trails will remain the priority.”

The West Bragg Creek weather station indicates a temperature of -11°C at 10 a.m.

Tracksetting Updates:

Confederation golf course: “The new snow combined with the wind last night gave our groomer a blank slate to work with this morning. All trails outside the driving range were groomed and trackset this morning.”

Last night in PLPP, the following trails were trackset: Amos, Woolley, Meadow, Wheeler. According to the Live Grooming Report, PLPP received 4 cm of snow(less in the north, more in the south), so expect some fresh snow on most of the new grooming.

The fresh snow has enabled the Canmore Nordic Centre to do lots of new tracksettting. Check the Live Grooming Report for details.

The Hay Meadow weather station indicates 2-3 cm of new snow, so expect fresh snow on the Ribbon Creek trails.
