Mon Feb 6 @ 8 a.m: Lots of new snow overnight. Accumulation on my deck is up to 21 cm. Some grooming in PLPP last night. Kananaskis Village/Ribbon Creek trails were groomed late yesterday. Grooming ongoing at Canmore Nordic Centre. Check the Live Grooming Reports.

Canmore, Sun Feb 5 @8:15 a.m: The 11 cm that’s on my deck this morning is probably on the low end of the accumulation amounts in the mountains from this snowfall which started 24 hours ago. Temperature is -18 and it’s windy. According to the forecast, there’s lots more to come.

Snow update

  Sat Feb 4 @7:45 a.m: I’ve received 3 cm of snow overnight in Canmore. The temperature is -18°C. Elk Pass, Blueberry Hill, and Hydroline were trackset last night, but will have varying amounts of fresh snow on top of the grooming.

Needles be gone! Just received a call from a skier who has a cabin in PLPP and it is snowing there. So far about 3 cm and temp is -5°C. I also received about 3 cm overnight in Canmore.

Not this again

  We had a nice little run of cold snow, pleasant weather and good trail conditions. It’s over for now. This warm weather(and rain in Canmore) is going to be brutal for the ski trails.
