TSJ(Ribbon creek tracksetter Jeff) is out tracksetting the Bill Milne and Wedge Connector trails tonight and saw this: TSJ added this comment: “It looks like even the Lynx enjoy the track setting at Wedge.”

Still enjoying Goat creek

Lovely weather and 3 cm of fresh snow made for a nice 19K trip along Goat creek and Spray river west yesterday(Sunday), with the usual “conditions.”

The magic number on Goat creek is 3.8

I’ve come to expect a lot of multi-users on the initial section of Goat creek. Today, all the snowshoers turned around at 3.8K, at which time a nice set of tracks

Snowing in Canmore

Only a dusting of snow so far(9:55 pm), but the forecast is calling for 1 – 5 cm depending on where and which forecast.

Ribbon creek and CNC

TSJ took the above photo at Ribbon creek and sent this information with it: “No grooming tonight. Looks like it’s the 3 w’s Windy,Warm and Waxless skis.”

Am I dreaming?

-Moose at Boulton creek trailhead- Somebody better pinch me. If you were skiing in Kananaskis today, you probably thought you’d died and gone to xc heaven.

I had a wide and varied choice of trails to ski today. Cascade? Mt Shark? Pocaterra? Blueberry hill? Spray river? Lake Louise?
