Further to Tanya’s report from West Bragg, the snow was already starting to get wet at 12 noon. I started out on wax but after about 20 minutes of marginal grip, I went back and changed over to waxless. I met Bill and Deirdre on Crystal Line West at 12:15…
Early-season skiers in Calgary are jubilant. There are enough trackset trails at West Bragg Creek to easily be the equivalent of skiing Moraine Lake road – without the long drive! An added bonus is that we get to see lots of happy dogs on the trail.

Steve Riggs took advantage of today’s new snow at West Bragg Creek and it was cold enough for blue wax! It’s remarkable how Steve managed to photograph the exact same location as my photo yesterday, but it’s easy to see there’s even more snow today.
Nov 4, 2019 I was pleasantly surprised at the conditions on the West Bragg Creek trails late this afternoon and had a very enjoyable ski. I ran into Groomer Bill as I was starting out and he recommended some trails which were in good shape, and he wasn’t kidding.
