Who made these tracks?

Studying the animal tracks on Tyrwhitt

Update: Our expert tracker, Barb Banff, thinks they are wolverine. 

The animal tracks running for a couple kilometres along Tyrwhitt were causing a lot of consternation among the skiers today. We’ve heard on the trip reports that they could be bear tracks, but it would have to be an awfully small bear.

Hopefully Barb Banff is reading and can make a positive identification. I’m going to go out on the limb and suggest they are wolverine tracks.

I did the loop and conditions were excellent. I’ll post more photos later.

  1. Okay then . . . can someone puhleeeease tell me how to properly pronounce Tyrwhitt??
    Is the “R” silent? Tyyyywhitt?
    Is the “Y” silent? Trrrrwhitt?
    Are neither silent? Tyyyrrrrwhitt?
    Or should I just keep calling it . . . “That great trail in PLPP that I don’t now how to pronounce.
