Snowfall and Tracksetting update

Update Feb 17 at 1 pm: Tracksetting on Telephone Loop at West Bragg Creek was completed this morning. 

West Bragg Creek: “2 to 4 cm of fresh snow overnight. New tracksetting underway with light snow falling. It should be a fantastic day of skiing out in the creek.”

The temperature at the WBC trailhead is -13°C with an expected high of -7. 

Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Two cm of new snow in PLPP. Overnight tracksetting on the west side of the road included Lodgepole, Braille, WWL Access, and Spruce Road. The single-track trails including Moraine, Fox Creek, and Boulton Creek were trackset.

The temperature at the Lower Lake is -13 with an expected high of -8. 

Confederation golf course

The Blue and Yellow trails were groomed and trackset last evening.

West Confederation(the park across the road formerly known as Canmore park) was also groomed and trackset as follows: “Set 6 classic lanes and groomed similar width skate lane on the flats near 19 Street. A double classic loop on the flats was also set.”

Canmore Nordic Centre: Last night and this morning was quite windy. Light snow cover on trails, track-set may have wind blown snow.” The trails with man-made snow were trackset. 

Nakiska reports 2 cm of new snow, so the Ribbon Creek trails will have received a refresher. 

Calgary: I received 4 cm of powder snow.
